the time is here to say goodbye to being 20 something... i won't lie, i sort of panicked over it a little bit, i am realizing for the first time in my life that i will not be young forever...... i am a little amazed how hard it hit me. I am still planning to celebrate of courseÉ))) and can not wait to share really good food and laughter with the people i love the most...HAVA AN AMAZING WEEKEND....

an after school moment from today.....

M ' s / b r e a k f a s t

I am so happy to say that this is M's favorite breakfast (and school snack as well). To make it, you need about a cup of pitted dates, a cup and a half of almonds and lots of  ground cinnamon (personal preference). Put all 3 ingredients in a good /strong food processor and  mix it until it comes together in a ball (about a minute). Remove it from the mixer. Now the fun part: divide the dough into bite size, round shape pieces (maybe 20).  M eats this for breakfast with a banana or a peace of toast..the possibilities are endless..  feel free to mix it up an use different nuts (i love walnuts and pecans) or even roll them into unsweetened coconut flakes ...Date-almond balls are definitely a staple in our home... one that i feel really good about..

So when i wrote this post i wanted to make it a weekly or at least a monthly column (if you will) here in the blog but of course that never happened ... but today i am here again to talk about ..well ultimately LOVE.

Continuing where we left of ... So why should we step back and listen to our  children?
Well because our most important job is 1:to find out what our children want and 2:to discover their wish and this can only happen in an environment where we listen to what thy have to say. According to the book it is extremely hard for an adult to find out what they really want (i would like to refer to this later on in this post)
SO what am i really talking about right?

Saturday we went and visited a farm (vegetable and fruit) in south florida. We have a little garden at our house so we were hoping to get some ideas and inspirations. I wish i took some pictures so i could share them with you all because it was, in fact ,beyond inspiring.. maybe next time...

We rode up to the beach this afternoon. M loves my new bike (and her seat on it:) The beach was empty.. it was so peaceful and so perfect ..it allowed me to clear my had while watching my daunter have endless fun....

I wrote about ATELIER ASSEMBLE back in october . Now i am bringing them back again and the reason is none other than their new spring/summer collection.. What can i say? they don't disappoint..

Have you seen the new STELLA McCARTNEY KIDS collection? I picked some of my favorites from the baby collection. The clothes look very comfortable (huge plus), easy and fun to wear. Beautiful work..... make sure to check it out...

V a l e n t i n e s. . . .

M had to bring 34 valentines to school... so i was thinking to myself : i guess that means we will have a lots  and lots of candy (that we don't need ). I wanted to do something different so i went to our local craft store and headed straight to the MARTHA STEWART CRAFTS section knowing that it would not disappoint. I found some adorable little paper bags with sweet messages on them, and i filled them with beautiful felt and paper stickers and some non-toxic crayons... Finally i folded the top of the bags and secured them with a tiny little round label sticker and put M's name on them.....

slept in , stayed home, ate pancakes , had lots of fun.... it is only a runny nose (well at last i hope so)
